The tactically retreating Allies squeeze through the Way of Trepas, the treacherous gorge within the Tingij Mountains. Spurred on by hatred and disgust of the Allied tactics at Ovest, the Confederacy are lured in heedless pursuit.

Despite a hailstorm of arrows and a multitude of traps, the massive Confederate military force continues to flood through the restrictive Way of Trepas. Enough Proliate Red Guard have made it through so that men of Ager have entered the gorge.

The skies explode as Eaglians and Vioma Dragons battle griffins and Magicians. On the ground, Friar and the Allies unleash a stream of heinous ambushes. Thousands of Proliate Red Guard find themselves surrounded by flames and a punji pit.

Twelve thousand Proliate from the north arrive at the battle brandishing eighteen-foot long sarissa spears. Along with griffins attacking from above the new Proliate troops begin to harass the retreating Knights. The Elves of Creber show up to provide some support for the Knights using their archery skills.

The Allied subterfuge has served to even out the armies and weaken the resolve of some Confederate leaders. Finally arrayed in more traditional attack formations, the two massive armies prepare to clash.

Friar orders his cavalry to flank the Confederate army. However, the center of the Allied line starts to buckle under the weight of the immense sarissa spears and they are called back to assist. The Western Elves are marching up from the south to attack the Allies from behind.
